HemeScreen® Reagents Product Information
HemeScreen is a Research Use Only (RUO) proprietary mutation detection technology that is rapid, cost-effective, and easy-to-use. HemeScreen reagents can be run on most RT-PCR instruments and leverage efficient HRM (High Resolution Melt) technology to identify gene mutations and other variants at low limits of detection.
HemeScreen enables testing of multiple genes of interest (driver mutations) for these blood cancers on a single platform, in a pre-plated assay configuration to further simplify clinical hematopathology workflows.

HemeScreen was developed in Precipio’s own clinical hematopathology laboratory to address the issues of turn-around time and accurate, comprehensive molecular testing for various blood cancers.
Typical HemeScreen® Workflow
The HemeScreen workflow simplifies comprehensive analyses of driver mutations for various hematopathology diseases such as myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN), Cytopenia, Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), Acute myeloid leukemia (AML), Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), and Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). Samples received are prepared using standard DNA extraction processes, followed by a simple plating step onto the pre-plated HemeScreen 96 well plates. These samples are the amplified and data is collected in real time, followed by simple melt curve analysis and interpretation for mutation detection.
